Everything about Furano Hokkaid totally explained is a city located in Kamikawa, Hokkaidō, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 25,521 and a density of 42.48 persons per km². The total area is 600.83 km².
The city was founded on 1 May 1966.
The city is known for its lavender fields and other natural produce, however in recent times it has become popular holiday destination in winter because of its ski fields.
The town itself is split into two areas with the Sorachi River running through. The main commercial area of Furano is located on the the east side of the river, while Kitanomine ski area is one the west.
